DESCRIPTION:This year?s East/West bootcamp organized by the Institute for Health Data Science Research: Aug 18th-22nd 2025, on the East campus. As far as we know, this is the only event of this type organized in the University of Illinois System. Bootcamp registration will open in late April.    The 2024 first edition of the bootcamp was a success, with six interdisciplinary teams formed that each span 4-5 UIC/UI Health colleges. Two of the teams have submitted proposals for federal funding, and the remaining four are in the process of submitting in the next cycle. Three teams have received seed funding from the institute. You can read more about the 2024 bootcamp on the institute website: https://hds.uic.edu/news-and-events/    This facilitated bootcamp aims to initiate and jumpstart new collaborations between the UIC East and West campus, with researchers you may not have met before. No prior experience with such collaborations is required. Upon successful completion of the bootcamp, teams will submit a proposal for seed funding from the institute.
